DrAditi Desai

Aditi Desai has practised dentistry for 47 years, with extensive specialisation in sleep medicine and its relationship to dental health. She is the most senior figure in British dental sleep medicine, serving as President of both the British Society of Dental Sleep Medicine and the British Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, and is a past President of the Royal Society of Medicine’s Odontology Section.

She works as part of multidisciplinary sleep teams at HCA Outpatients at The Shard and the Royal Brompton & Harefield Specialist Care Centre, and sees patients at London Bridge Hospital and the Cromwell Hospital. Her practice covers the full clinical range of sleep-disordered breathing and related dental conditions, including obstructive sleep apnoea, snoring, and temporomandibular disorders. Her particular focus is patients unable to tolerate CPAP, for whom she provides evidence-based alternatives including mandibular advancement devices, myofunctional therapy, and targeted pain management.
